1. Introduction
Welcome to Rafters! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Rafters mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Definitions
- "Service" refers to the Rafters application and website operated by Rafters.
- "User" refers to the individual accessing or using the Service.
- "Content" refers to all information displayed on the Service, including text, images, audio, video, and interactive features.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
4. User Content
Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material. You are responsible for the Content that you post on or through the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.
By posting Content on or through the Service, you grant us the right to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such Content on and through the Service. You retain any and all of your rights to any Content you submit, post, or display on or through the Service and you are responsible for protecting those rights.

The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Rafters and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.
Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Rafters.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service:
- In any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation.
- For the purpose of exploiting, harming, or attempting to exploit or harm minors in any way.
- To transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material, including any "junk mail", "chain letter," "spam," or any other similar solicitation.
- To impersonate or attempt to impersonate Rafters, a Rafters employee, another user, or any other person or entity.
- To engage in any other conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service, or which, as determined by us, may harm Rafters or users of the Service or expose them to liability.
7. User-Generated Content and Moderation
Users may post comments, feedback, and other content on our Service. All user-generated content must comply with our content standards and community guidelines.
7.1 Content Standards
All user-generated content must:
- Be respectful and civil in tone and content
- Not contain hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats
- Not include spam, scams, or misleading information
- Not violate copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- Not contain explicit sexual content, graphic violence, or other inappropriate material
- Not promote illegal activities or dangerous behavior
- Not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
7.2 Reporting Violations
Users can report content that violates these standards by clicking the flag icon next to any comment. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 48 hours. We take all reports seriously and investigate each one thoroughly.
7.3 Moderation Policy
We reserve the right to:
- Remove content that violates these standards without prior notice
- Suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations
- Use automated filters to detect spam, profanity, and other prohibited content
- Moderate comments manually based on user reports and proactive monitoring
- Take any other action we deem necessary to maintain a safe and respectful community
7.4 Enforcement and Appeals
Violations may result in the following actions:
- First offense: Warning and content removal
- Second offense: Temporary suspension (7 days)
- Third offense or severe violations: Permanent account termination
If you believe content was removed or your account was suspended in error, you may appeal by contacting us at info@rafters.com with a detailed explanation. Appeals are typically reviewed within 5 business days.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Rafters, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
